Automatic Bible verse detection

The preacher says a passage — and it's already on screen. No volunteer typing a reference, no scramble, no missed verses. TajiCast listens to the sermon and detects the verse being preached in real time, then puts it on the projector or into your live stream automatically. It's free, and it works offline.

What "automatic detection" actually means

Traditional presentation software waits for a human to find and click each slide. That works for planned content like songs, but sermons are unpredictable — preachers jump to passages off-script, paraphrase, and cross-reference. Automatic detection closes that gap: the app hears the words, works out which verse they are, and displays it, so the congregation always sees the passage without anyone racing to keep up.

How it works, step by step

  1. It listens TajiCast takes the preacher's audio — ideally a clean feed from your sound desk — and transcribes it live.
  2. It detects As scripture is read, quoted, or paraphrased, it recognises the passage and matches it to your Bible translation.
  3. It displays The verse appears instantly — full-screen on a projector, or as an NDI lower-third in vMix or OBS. The operator can pin, skip, or push a verse by hand anytime.

Why churches switch to automatic

No missed verses

Off-script passages and cross-references get shown too — not just the ones on the running order.

One less volunteer job

Frees your operator from frantic verse-hunting so they can focus on the rest of the service.

Works offline

The Bible and detection run on your machine. No internet, no cloud account required.

Free, no limits

No subscription, no watermark, no cap on services. Free on Windows.

Show it anywhere

Send detected verses full-screen to a projector or second monitor, or over NDI as broadcast-ready lower-thirds for your stream. We have step-by-step guides for TajiCast with vMix and TajiCast with OBS. It also transcribes the whole sermon and can generate AI sermon notes from what it hears.

Questions

How does automatic Bible verse detection work?

The software listens to the preacher's audio, transcribes the speech in real time, and recognises when a verse is quoted, read, or even paraphrased. It then matches the words to the passage and puts that verse on screen automatically — no one has to type the reference.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Detection and display run fully offline — the Bible database and detection run on your PC. Internet is only needed if you deliberately choose a cloud speech-recognition provider.

Does it detect paraphrased verses, not just direct reads?

Yes. Because it matches on the meaning of the words rather than waiting for a spoken reference, it catches passages that are read, quoted loosely, or cross-referenced on the fly.

What makes detection accurate?

Clean audio, above everything. A direct feed from your sound desk detects far better than a distant room microphone. Get the audio right and the rest follows.

Is automatic verse detection free?

Yes. TajiCast is free to download and use on Windows, with no subscription and no per-service limits.
